Hi friends! Thanks for keeping up with my blogmas posts. Today’s post will be another list of recommendations. Last week was honestly a blur, but there were a couple things that got me through it. Here are this week’s recommendations!
- In the spirit of the holidays, there is a lot of spending that happens. I recommend taking the time to give back in at least one way! That doesn’t necessarily mean to go out and buy something, maybe volunteer some time to serve food at a shelter, or set up a small toy or food drive with your coworkers, or even buying a hot meal for someone in need. My mom and I fulfilled a couple of angel tags on the Salvation Army angel tree at our local mall. The items that were being asked for were not hard to find at all. Plus, it made me feel good to know that I helped make someone’s Christmas special! I plan on finding other ways to gift people things for the holidays. My goal is to one year sponsor a whole family and fulfill their Christmas list.
- My next recommendation is for all my mint-chocolate lovers out there (whoop whoop!). I’ve been OBSESSED with the Coffee Mate Peppermint Mocha creamer. I bought the large size from Target the other week and thought, “Wow, this thing is huge. I don’t think I’ll finish it.” But man, was I wrong. I use the creamer every day in my coffee + collagen drink. This creamer adds the right amount of sweetness, minty-ness, and holiday cheer that I’m looking for. I like it a lot more than spending $6 on Starbucks’ Peppermint Mocha!
- My final recommendation for this week is to give yourself some grace. I know that everyone is so busy during the holiday season juggling work, Christmas shopping, spending time with family and friends, and more. We often forget that we cannot do everything all the time. After the craziness of my dance kids’ Christmas Concert, I took Sunday to relax and do absolutely nothing. I’m going to be honest, it’s sometimes hard for me to not do anything all day. I often feel guilty that I’m “wasting the day” resting. However, it was a much needed R&R day and I feel ready to take on this week. I’m dreading my wisdom removal on Thursday, but at least I can say that I was rested enough to tackle my work before then.
There you go! Those are my recommendations for this week. Short and sweet. I hope you all enjoy this series, and try one of my recommendations! Until next time…
