Hi everyone! It’s been a while, huh? I’m so sorry for the neglect of this blog! But, I hope you’re enjoying the new layout of everything. I had made a decision to transition over to WordPress.org and using a web hosting platform called BlueHost. So far, I’m still getting used to everything and the layout of the website. I’m hoping that this switch was one in the right direction. How has everyone been? How was your spring? Is anyone else sweating like crazy this summer like I am? Thankfully the weather here in Hawai’i has been slightly breezy, which has been nice. If I could send some of our breeze to the West Coast right now, I would! I’ve been seeing posts and articles about the heat wave going on, and I really hope everyone is staying safe and cool.
I’m here today to share with you all a product that I cannot rave enough about. VEGAMOUR!!! I know what you’re thinking, and yes another Instagram ad got to me. I have been struggling with my hair thinning for the last couple of years, and I have been self conscious about my hair. My family has very thick stranded asian hair, and my hair just so happens to be thin. When I noticed that my hair was thinning and you could see my scalp from the front angle in photos, I knew I needed to find some solution. Thankfully, Instagram came through with the recommendation! My goal from using this product was to increase hair density, not so much hair growth in terms of length. If my hair grew longer faster, then that would be an added plus.
Vegamour is a cruelty-free, vegan, plant-based company that creates hair growth products. From their shampoos and conditioners, to serums, to even lash and brow growth serums, they have it all! I did my research on the company and scrolled through their Instagram page and comments to see if it was a legit product. After seeing how responsive they were to the comments, I thought “why not?” Thankfully at the time, they were having a great sale going on. I was able to score 3 bottles of their “Gro Hair Serum” for less than $100.
THE VERDICT!
Let me tell you, I didn’t have high expectations for this product. But WOW I was so surprised. I followed the instructions to apply one dropper-full of product directly on to my scalp after showering. I learned through the Instagram comments that after applying, you should massage it into your scalp (like the motion of washing your hair). I kept up with this step every day after showering, and at about 3 weeks I noticed my scalp getting a little itchy. I was worried that I was having a reaction to the product, but I kept pushing through… The following week I had little strands of hair sticking up all over my head! I could literally see the new hair growing through my longer hair!! I believe the itchy feeling was my hair follicles trying to break through. At that point, I was a believer. I kept using the product daily and noticed that I had out-of-control baby hairs, a problem that I never had before. I even noticed that less hair would fall out when I’d wash my hair in the shower.
These photos are very vulnerable to me. I was insecure about my hair density for so long, and to share this little hair journey with you all is exciting! I was ashamed and self conscious to be in any photos because of my thinning hair.
When using one dropper-full per day, one bottle lasted me about two months. Because I like the results I have so far, I lessened my applications to three times per week to stretch out my last bottle before I order another set of three. I do want to point out that I’ve read comments that say when you fully stop the product, your hair may revert back to it’s previous status (thinner) because of the lack of nutrients/vitamins your scalp would be getting. I haven’t noticed any difference when lessening my applications, but I don’t want to take any chances! I love the results I have so far.
In conclusion, if you are dealing with a bit of hair thinning and want to give this a try, I highly suggest Vegamour’s GRO Hair serum! I would like to try their lash serum for more lash density and maybe even give their dry shampoo a whirl. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Until next time…
**DISCLAIMER: I am not being sponsored/paid by Vegamour. This is an honest review, and this product worked well for me. I cannot guarantee that your hair/scalp will react the same as in my experience. I am not a hair professional, I just wanted to try a product to help me with something I was insecure about!
